On April 27, 2012, Han Kun Partner Evan Zhang spoke at the "China Fund Law Forum" organized by China Entrepreneurs at Beijing American Club. The new PE tax rules resulting from a meeting between the National Tax Administration and PE fund managers and PE accountants discussing the "Income Tax of Partnership Enterprises and Partners Rules" are set to shake up the PE fund industry. During this Forum, industry experts focused on how the recent and upcoming legislation would impact the ability of PE funds to raise capital, with a particular focus on international fund managers' ability to access investment within China.
