Work experience

Prior to joining Han Kun, Mr. Xu was one of the founding partners of Shanghai Young-Ben Law Firm, where he successively served as a director, CPC branch secretary, and managing partner.
Mr. Xu's areas of expertise in finance cover financial compliance and asset management, including the establishment of financial institutions and the issuance of financial products, bank financing, trust schemes, utilization of insurance funds, establishment of insurance asset management products, establishment and operation of private equity funds, all types of institutionalized financing, asset securitization, various structured financing and asset securitization projects, and various issuances of bonds and debt financing instruments, etc.
Mr. Xu provides legal services to various financial institutions, such as banks, trusts, brokerages, insurance companies, and fund and asset management institutions, including insurance asset management companies such as Ping An Asset & Management, Taiping Asset & Management, Ping An Real Estate, Ping An Annuity, Everbright, Aeon Asset Management, Taikang Asset Management, Huatai Asset Management, Sunshine Asset & Management, People's Pension, Minshengtonghui, Zhongyingyili, and other insurance asset management companies; a number of trust institutions such as Ping An Trust, Aijian Trust, Huabao Trust, Zhongrong Trust, Tianjin Trust, Everbright Trust, and CITIC Trust, etc.; and also a number of financial institutions such as CITIC Construction, CITIC Bank, Ping An Securities, etc.  Mr. Xu has successfully undertaken projects that include the very first debt plan and financing project of insurance assets for "Blue Whale I", a major technical drilling rig equipment project; and the first issuance of super short-term financing bills in the amount of RMB 1 billion by a Shanghai SOE; the first official car reform project by the Fengxian District Government, Shanghai.  Mr. Xu has extensive experience and a good reputation in the area of insurance fund use, insurance project establishment and asset management, and the establishment and compliance of insurance companies and insurance asset management companies.
Mr. Xu also has nearly 20 years of experience in the area of state-owned assets and enterprises.  Mr. Xu's current long-term clients include Shanghai Huayi, Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange, Guangming Group, INESA, YRD Group, Real Estate Group, SHSIIC Group, Shenergy (Group), Jinjiang Group, Shanghai International Group etc. and their affiliated companies, and he has industry-leading advantages in state-owned financial institution compliance matters and the establishment and operation of state-owned funds and the state-owned business of financial institutions.
Mr. Xu, upon invitation, has drafted the Guidelines and Codes of Practice for Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Shanghai Bar Association, LexisNexis, and so forth.  In addition, Mr. Xu has published several specialized articles in Capital Shanghai, the most authoritative periodical on state owned assets, Asian Legal Business, and Shanghai Legal Daily.
