Han Kun and LexisNexis successfully hold seminar on Hot Legal Issues Concerning Chinese Companies' Overseas M&A
2016-07-25
The first half year of 2016 has seen accelerated growth in Chinese companies' overseas M&A transactions. It has been reported that the total value of Chinese companies' overseas M&A deals in the first 4 months exceeded the overall amount for all of 2015. While the major target industries and geographic areas are changing, the complexity and scale of these M&A deals is continuously expanding as well, which presents more challenges for Chinese companies to close deals smoothly while also controlling legal risks.
To address these challenges, on July 22, Han Kun and LexisNexis held a seminar on Hot Legal Issues Concerning Chinese Companies' Overseas M&A, both online and offline, to discuss with attendees the key issues and to explore possible solutions relating to Chinese companies' overseas M&A.
Han Kun attorneys Ms. Gloria Xu and Mr. Aaron Zhou spoke at the seminar, shared their in-depth experience and insights on the supervision of overseas investment and practices, and common and hot issues concerning overseas M&A, respectively, and answered questions raised by the attendees.
The attendees included legal and financial officers from over 100 companies, including CITIC Bank, Zhong Zhi Capital, Sanpower Group, HNA Telecom, Fortune Fountain Capital, Xiaomi, Tiger Brokers, and LeTV. The seminar turned out to be a great success.
