Han Kun attracts two partners from renowned Chinese law firms and promotes two counsels to partner

Han Kun Law Offices is pleased to announce that it has attracted Mr. Bin Zhi and Ms. Shu Wang from two renowned Chinese law firms to join Han Kun. In addition, two of the firm's counsels, Mr. Huan Wang and Mr. Kelvin Gao have both been promoted to partner, effective on 1 January 2013.
Bin Zhi's practice focuses on domestic and offshore listings, restructuring and reorganization, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity, as well as foreign investment. The clients represented by Mr. Zhi include large-scale state-owned enterprises and state-owned commercial banks, multinational corporations, and leading fast-growing enterprises. His practice covers a wide range of industrial sectors such as banking, insurance, infrastructure construction, mining, energy, healthcare, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.
Shu Wang's practice focuses on banking and financing, the establishment of financial institutions, and aircraft financing and leasing. Ms. Wang has represented numerous domestic and foreign banks in connection with various types of private and corporate banking business, as well as foreign exchange related business. In addition, she has advised different kinds of companies in various types of domestic and international financing transactions. She also has vast experience in advising a large number of well-known domestic and foreign aircraft leasing companies, commercial banks, and domestic airlines in their leasing and financing of aircraft and aviation equipment.
Huan Wang's practice focuses on foreign direct investment in high-tech areas, mergers and acquisitions, as well as intellectual property protection. He has represented both companies and investors in numerous venture capital and private equity transactions.
Kelvin Gao's practice focuses on the formation and deployment of private equity funds. He has been significantly involved in the formation and deployment of numerous onshore and offshore private equity funds, a variety of M&A transactions, Sino-foreign joint venture projects, and foreign direct investment projects in the areas of real estate, consumer products, high-tech, and general manufacturing.
Bin Zhi, Shu Wang and Huan Wang are based in Han Kun's Beijing Office, and Kelvin Gao is based in Han Kun's Shanghai office.
