Han Kun Law Offices is pleased to announce that Ms. Melody He has recently joined the firm's Hong Kong office as a partner. Her joining the firm will further strengthen and enhance Han Kun's overall capabilities in providing comprehensive services to clients.
Melody focuses her practice on corporate law, securities law, capital market transactions and regulatory compliance, and has practiced both in the U.S. and Hong Kong. Melody has extensive experience in advising companies and underwriters in equity capital market transactions such as Hong Kong listings and US 144A offerings, US listings and public offerings, private placements, share placements, rights issues and block trade transactions. Melody also regularly advises clients in a wide variety of transactions such as pre-IPO restructuring and pre-IPO financing, private equity and venture capital, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and bond issuances. In addition to her substantial transactional experience, Melody also has extensive experience in advising listed companies and their boards on corporate governance, directors' duties, and on-going reporting obligations. She has also built a reputation in the greater China legal market for advising companies on international sanctions and export control issues.
With more than 25 years' experience, Melody has worked with clients from various industries, including technology, new energy, life sciences, pharmaceutical, financial services, insurance, consumer products, real estate, energy, natural resources, retail, food and beverage, and manufacturing. Prior to joining Han Kun, Melody was a partner at several well-known international law firms and worked in the New York office of a prestigious Wall Street law firm for a few years. Melody has been ranked as a leading or highly regarded lawyer in IFLR1000 for 10 consecutive years from 2014 to 2024 and listed as a key lawyer by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific in the Hong Kong Capital Markets (Equity) category from 2020 to 2024 and a recommended lawyer in Hong Kong Debt Capital Markets from 2021 to 2024.
