On April 23, 2024, Asian Legal Business (ALB), a leading legal publication under Thomson Reuters, recognized Han Kun as a 2024 ALB China Employer of Choice—the tenth time for the firm to receive the honor. ALB developed this list by surveying the opinions of employees of law firms that have offices in mainland China, asking employees to rate their firms in terms of career development prospects, opportunities for promotion to partner, degree of job satisfaction, etc., with a view toward recognizing the law firms that are most competitive in the legal talent market.
The 2024 Employer of Choice survey was launched in December 2023 and received more than 3,000 responses from employees of different law firms during the two-month survey period. The research team ranked the law firms based upon factors including job satisfaction, salary levels, salary structures and overall wage transparency, training opportunities and career development opportunities, opportunities to receive professional guidance, transparency on the path to partnership, teamwork, knowledge management and IT support, work-life balance, career development prospects, and the willingness to recommend the firm as an employer of choice. This year's list recognized 20 of the most competitive law firms in the legal talent market in total, including 15 Chinese firms and 5 international firms with offices in mainland China.
