The 2013 Han Kun Youth Legal Scholarship award ceremony was held in the Beijing office of Han Kun Law Offices on July 6, 2013. The scholarship is open to law school students from all of Mainland China's universities. The award amount of the 2013 Scholarship totaled RMB560,000.
Five winners were awarded a scholarship of RMB 100,000 each:
Siqing Li from China University of Political Science and Law (admitted to the University of Oxford), Yiran Li from Tsinghua University (admitted to the University of Cambridge), Zhuang Liu from Peking University (admitted to the University of Chicago), Wei Mao from Tsinghua University (admitted to the University of Pennsylvania), and Wei Tian from Renmin University of China (admitted to the University of Munich).
Yanzhou Chen from the University of International Business and Economics (admitted to New York University), won an Honor Award of RMB 20,000;
The other four finalists were granted an award of RMB 10,000 each:
Xiankai Chen from Renmin University of China (admitted to the University of California, Berkeley), Chuwen Dai from Fudan University (admitted to Harvard University), Ying Zeng from Xiamen University (admitted to Pennsylvania State University) and You Zhou from Peking University (admitted to Columbia University).

The 2012 Han Kun Youth Legal Scholarship was a great success, and the 2013 Han Kun Youth Legal Scholarship is the second year of the program. The 2013 Scholarship was launched at the end of 2012 and has received applications from over hundreds of undergraduates and graduates from law schools throughout China. After several rounds of selections including paper examinations, written tests and interviews by Han Kun partners, 10 applicants were chosen as finalists to participate in the final. These 10 finalists are from prestigious universities in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The judging panel for the final was composed of professors from Peking University, Tsinghua University, the University of International Business and Economics, Renmin University of China and China University of Political Science and Law. After conducting face-to face interviews, the panel selected 5 students as the winners, 1 student as an honor award winner and 4 as finalists.
Prominent officials from the Judicial Bureau and the Lawyers Association of Beijing Dongcheng District were present at the award ceremony, expressing their congratulations to the winners and finalists.
