Han Kun launched the Han Kun Youth Legal Scholarship in 2011 to finance advanced legal studies in China or abroad by law students selected from universities across the country who plan to pursue professional, academic or governmental positions in China.
The Han Kun Youth Legal Scholarship has been a success from its inception. Many recipients of the Scholarship have become young leaders of their respective field of work. This year, the Scholarship attracted over a hundred applicants of exceptional talents throughout the country. After several rounds of selection which featured written tests and interviews by Han Kun partners, 10 finalists were chosen to participate in the final round. The panel of judges consisted of two Han Kun partners and three professors from top Chinese universities who spent the entire day interviewing each of the 10 finalists to select five grand prize winners.
Li Xiaoming, partner of Han Kun and chief umpire of the panel of judges, says at the award ceremony: "We feel very fortunate to have so many top talents participate in our Scholarship program and we are so proud to have the opportunity to witness and nurture the future growth of such talents. We are confident that recipients of Han Kun Youth Legal Scholarship will become leaders of their respective field of work and will make impactful contributions to the development of law in China and to a better understanding between different peoples in the world."
