Ms. Cai joined Han Kun in January 2025. Prior to joining Han Kun, she practiced at a well-known domestic law firm, specializing in cross-border commercial and maritime dispute resolution, providing a wide range of litigation and non-litigation legal services in international trade, asset recovery, insurance, shipping, leasing, and international logistics.
Ms. Cai has represented clients in various disputes over contracts for the carriage of goods by sea, insurance, house leases, private lending, and warehousing contracts; her responsibilities include analyzing facts, conducting legal research, compiling evidence, and drafting statements of claim, cross-examination opinions, pleadings, and mediation agreements, etc.
With respect to non-litigation services, Ms. Cai has participated in ship sale transactions, including comprehensive legal services for foreign shipowners, including drafting MOA, BOS, and PODA. She has also provided long-term legal services to a listed company, to a well-known Chinese shipyard in reviewing shipbuilding contracts, and to an international trading company in connection with drafting equity transfer agreements, warehousing contracts, etc.
