Ms. Zhao has been practicing law since 2023. She focuses on data compliance and cybersecurity, as well as merge and acquisition, covering a wide range of industries including industrial manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, automotive, and luxury goods. The scope of her services includes: providing legal services related to due diligence and compliance review for merger and acquisition projects; establishing data compliance systems for enterprises; assisting enterprises to deal with regulatory procedures for cross-border data transfers; advising enterprises on crisis management, such as data breaches and regulatory investigations; and providing compliance advice on data capitalization processes, such as data product transactions and the balance sheet presentation of data assets.
Prior to joining Han Kun Law Offices, Ms. Zhao worked at Beijing Dacheng Law Offices, LLP (Shanghai) for nearly two years. During that time, she provided legal services to various large multinational corporations in the areas of data and privacy protection, cybersecurity, competition law and antitrust.
