Ms. Wang is a registered foreign lawyer (New York) at Han Kun. Ms. Wang has been focused on the debt capital markets practice for more than five years and has extensive practical experience in offshore bond issuance and liability management. Ms. Wang holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (with a minor in Economics) from Peking University and a Master of Laws degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She is licensed to practice law in the State of New York and speaks Mandarin and English. Prior to joining Han Kun, Ms. Wang worked in the Hong Kong office of Linklaters and Ashurst.
Ms. Wang has undertaken and participated in nearly 100 offshore bond projects and has extensive experience and knowledge of various types of products in the debt capital markets. She has a deep understanding of bond products including offshore U.S. dollar bonds, dim sum bonds, Lotus bonds, MTN programmes, SBLC backed bonds, high-yield bonds, convertible bonds, preferred shares, and perpetual bonds. In addition, Ms. Wang has undertaken and participated in a large number of debt management projects, including bond tender offers, exchange offers, and consent solicitations and has been involved in organising and preparing for the convening of investor meetings and other work in debt restructuring. Ms. Wang’s clients include issuers such as central enterprises, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, LGFVs, real estate companies, and underwriters such as JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, UBS, CICC, CITIC, Guotai Junan and Haitong Securities. Among them, LGFVs cover major economic zones such as Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Sichuan, Chongqing, and Guangdong.
Ms. Wang also has extensive experience in bonds listing applications on various exchanges and has a deep understanding of the listing rules of various jurisdictions. She has led more than 50 applications for bonds listing in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Luxembourg. Ms. Wang is familiar with the disclosure notices required in various jurisdictions and the subsequent issuer post-listing obligations.
