Work experience

Dr. Na Wang has professional experience in the healthcare industry for many years, specializing in intellectual property law with a focus on life sciences and biomedicine. Her business scope covers patent prosecution, multi-jurisdictional patent portfolio management and strategy, freedom-to-operate (FTO) search and analysis, intellectual property due diligence, patent re-examination, invalidity, and third-party opinions.  Dr. Wang has accumulated rich experience in biological macromolecules, pharmaceutical compounds, antibodies, ADCs, payloads, small nucleic acid drugs, LNP delivery systems, gene therapy, vaccines, ionic liquids, biomarker, engineered vector, gene sequencing, medical devices, etc.
She has worked with leading domestic and international companies, universities, and start-ups, providing patent prosecution, portfolio strategies, and IP legal advice, and assisting clients in obtaining patent rights in many countries. Dr. Wang also provides IP legal services to investment institutions or technological enterprises in many investment, IPO, and IP licensing projects, and facilitates the business transactions. 
Prior to practicing intellectual property law, Dr. Wang was a licensed foot and ankle physician in the U.S. In 2018, she received the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in the U.S. and then served as a foot and ankle surgery resident at Northwell Health, the largest medical institution in the eastern U.S., during which she has accumulated extensive clinical and surgical experience. Dr. Wang has also worked in laboratories at Brown University and Harvard University, and has published research results in internationally renowned journals.  Prior to joining Han Kun, Dr. Wang worked at Liu & Shen Associates.
