Before joining Han Kun, Mr. Duan was a partner at Morgan Lewis, one of the largest law firms headquartered in the United States. Mr. Duan also worked with a several top U.S. and British law firms in Hong Kong and Beijing. His practice areas include inbound and outbound mergers and acquisitions, and private equity financings, tax, and regulatory advice on various complex cross border transactions covering mergers and acquisitions, overseas greenfield investment, and IP licensing. Mr. Duan specializes in assisting clients to design transaction structures and prepare documentation that both meet business objectives and comply with legal requirements.
Mr. Duan has represented Chinese and international companies in a variety of corporate transactions, including acquisitions by Chinese buyers of U.S. public and private companies or assets and acquisitions by foreign investors of various Chinese companies.
