Ms. Chen has practiced law in China more than 20 years and has profound research and legal practice experience, both in intellectual property law and corporate law. Ms. Chen’s practice focuses on IP prosecution, licensing and transactions, litigation and dispute resolution re trademark, copyright, trade secret, and unfair competition.
Ms. Chen has extensive experience in serving both multinational and domestic clients in a wide range of fields. She has led the representation in some court cases which have been ranked as Top 10 typical cases by the High Courts. She has also successfully assisted leading companies to obtain “well-known trademark” protection for their trademarks and high damages.
Ms. Chen is dedicated to providing top-quality legal services in non-contentious IP matters including strategic protection of IP portfolios, prosecution and enforcement of IP rights, acquisition, transfer, use and licensing of IP assets, drafts and reviews of IP contracts, and advertising compliance.
Ms. Chen also handles other commercial disputes, foreign investment disputes, equity and asset transfers, state-owned asset disposal transactions, and advising clients on operational matters.
Ms. Chen has very strong personal abilities and a keen sense of responsibility, which has earned her high praise from her clients. She has provided IP services to famous brands such as Coca-Cola, L’Oréal, Dairy Queen, traditional multinational companies such as General Motors, Walmart, and Hyundai, Investment Fund such as Goldman Sachs, Allianz, Baillie Gifford, as well as TMT giants such as TikTok, Ali, Tencent, and Baidu.
Ms. Chen has been recognized for her outstanding legal work as China Top 15 Female Lawyers (2015) by Asian Legal Business and China Top 15 intellectual property Lawyers (2016) by Asian Legal Business, and has been recommended for intellectual property (2019, 2023, 2024) by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific. Ms. Chen was named to the 2018 list of 1000 foreign-related legal case experts of the PRC Ministry of Justice, and the 2020 List of Foreign-related Legal Case Experts by the Beijing Lawyers Association.
