Work experience

Prior to joining Han Kun Law Offices, Mr. Zhao Yuxian worked at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP's Hong Kong office.   
Since starting his legal career, Mr. Zhao has been assisting Chinese and foreign clients in resolving disputes arising from their "going global" and cross-border transactions.  These disputes often involve high-tech and manufacturing industries, such as innovative pharmaceutical investment, research and development (R&D), production and sales, medical devices, production and supply of new photovoltaic equipment, production and supply of new energy materials, design and production of telecommunication equipment, production and supply of specialty industrial gases, procurement of chemical equipment, design and production of industrial automation equipment, and fintech.    
In arbitration, Mr. Zhao has represented clients in disputes under the rules of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC), Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), American Arbitration Association (AAA), Shanghai Arbitration Commission (SAC), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).  He has also provided advice on issues related to the annulment or enforcement of arbitral awards.  
In litigation, Mr. Zhao has assisted domestic clients as well as foreign clients from Germany, the United States, France, Italy, and other countries in achieving favorable judgments or settlements in courts in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shandong, and other regions.  Additionally, he has provided PRC legal opinions for litigation proceedings in the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.   
In recent years, Mr. Zhao has also assisted domestic and international clients with cross-border asset tracing and recovery, including cases involving cryptocurrency.
